Baton Rouge

We have been in Baton Rouge for 3 months now. We are learning the ways here and learning to appreciate all the differences. I am not sure I appreciate the weather yet, it was 75 and 99 % humidity the other day. I thought December was suppose to be cold and snowy! I don't think i'll ever get use to warm winter weather.

One thing I can get use to is Blue Belle ice cream. I am not an ice cream person, but this stuff is straight from heaven. I could be a happy person with this stuff in my freezer year round. My first stop at the grocery store I saw this freezer full and had to send the pic to my sisters to rub it in.
For the first month that we lived here we didn't have a couch. Our couch from our old house was too big to fit into our apartment so we had to order one to fit and of course it was on back order. I took advantage of Benjamin's chair at night. I was really happy to finally get a real place to sit.
LSU football is HUGE in Baton Rouge. On game days the entire town shuts down. True Story. It is really hard to get tickets to games, but we managed to get a few. Brett has been to a bunch of games (I guess it helps to work in the sports industry) and has quickly become a LSU fan. How can you not? They are an amazing team and the games are so fun!

Watching from the box
Brett with Brian Wilson, aka "The Beard" and buddies from work in the tunnel at a game. He watched the game from the sidelines with the players and went in the locker room after. He was grinning from ear to ear when he got home.
Getting ready for church. Ben wants to be just like his Daddy.
Our new house! Waiting just a few more weeks to close and I can hardly wait. Patience is not something I was blessed with.

Benjamin knows no boundaries. He goes when he has to. I was putting the stroller in the car and he dropped his pants in the parking lot. I had to pick him up mid stream and carry him to the side of my car so he wouldn't be seem by everyone!

Benjamin's school Christmas concert
Benjamin sang his songs for weeks at home and knew every one. The day of his concert he didn't sing one word! He looked around and yawned basically the entire 40 minutes of the program. We couldn't stop laughing.
Ben is in the top row and has a huge space on either side of him. He didn't want anyone around him. Should I be worried?!?
