HaLlOwEeN!!!!!!!

We had a great Halloween this year. We went to my cousin Courtney's house for dinner and dessert and then headed out with a group to trick or treat. Benjamin was a little skeptical at first, but once he realized that everyone was giving him candy he was all for it! He was dressed as a train conductor. He is so into trains these days it just seemed like the perfect thing for him to be.

Ben's 2nd cousin Kate kept an eye on him all night and made sure he made it to all the doors

Fall Time Fun!

I have realized two things since I have been blogging: 1). Benjamin is always in his jammies and 2). I take way too many pictures. With that being said, here are some more pictures of my boys doing yard work and yes, Benjamin is in his jammies.
Benjamin was being such a good little helper.
After the yard work, Benjamin and I decided to show Brett what we do while he is working during the day. We spend a lot of time on the school bus and bulldozer riding down the driveway and the lane. It is actually pretty fun and you can get going fast! The first time Ben did it he went head first into the bushes but now he is a pro!

He Haw Farms

When I taught Kindergarden we took the kids to He Haw Farms in American Fork at Halloween time. The kids loved it then so I thought it would be a fun place to take Benjamin. Brett was a trooper and came along and we had a great time.

Snow Everywhere!!!!

The other night we watched the rain/snow come down before we went to bed. We didn't have any idea that we would wake up to this!!! As soon as Benjamin woke up he had to go outside to eat the snow. He couldn't even wait to change out of his jammies.
When he woke up from his nap we had to go outside again. He walked around the yard saying "mama, its beautiful!" I followed behind him wondering where my boy comes up with this stuff!

After spending a lot of time outside eating the snow and throwing snowballs at Brett, I finally coaxed Benjamin inside with a cup of snow for him to eat inside.

The Wheelbarrow

With my mom in town there is always something to do in the yard. With the fall coming, it was time to trim the pumpkin vines and the lavender. Ben wanted to help with all of the work and loved loading the wheelbarrow. When everything was finished my mom took him on a ride around the yard. He couldn't get enough of it! He giggled the entire time and now wants to get into the wheelbarrow every time he sees it in the garage.
We miss you Mimi!

St. George Marathon

After putting in a lot of hard work and running a lot of miles, Brett ran his third marathon last weekend. His time was 2:56:45. He placed 93rd over all, 85th among the boys and 17th in his age group. Seriously, he is so fast!!! He is an amazing runner!
And yes, I am bragging!

I love you and am so proud of you!

Happy Birthday Mimi!!!

My mom was home from New Orleans for her birthday so we threw her a tiny little surprise party. It was so much fun to have everyone over!

All the kids picked a pumpkin from my mom's pumpkin patch in the backyard.

Funny Faces

Benjamin and I have decided that the best part of my new computer is the photo booth! Ben cracks up every time we take pictures!

Grapes and Grandpa

Benjamin loves his Papa as much as he loves the garden. The two of them spent the morning picking grapes and tomatoes. Thank you papa for spending time with us!
Grapes Right off the vine!

Bath Time

Danielle and Emory came over one night and we had to document bath time. I am pretty sure these two could be twins.

Cookies

We decided to have a cookie party at our house. Our neighbors and best buds Danielle and Emory came as well. We made a huge mess with frosting and flour but had a great time.

Benjamin is always trying to kiss and hug Emory but she is not a huge fan of the affection. What can I say, Ben is a lover!!

Tomatoes and Pesto

When I can't find Benjamin right, I can always look in the garden and he will be there picking tomatoes. After a lot of coaching he learned that we only eat the red ones and let the green ones grow. He is such a great little eater and I love that he can eat food right out of the garden. He is learning early where everything comes from!

He also loves to eat basil! I know, strange. I can always tell when he has gotten into the basil because he smells like it! We decided to make pesto one morning because we had a crazy amount of basil. Ben is such a great helper in the kitchen and gets right in on the action.
