Brighton

I am embarrassed to say that we have not taken advantage of the mountains in the summer time. We got in a lot of snowboarding this past winter, but have neglected the mountains ever since. Which we have learned is a huge mistake.
With our move to Baton Rouge coming closer and closer we decided it was time to explore Utah before we leave. We took Benjamin up to Brighton and walked around Silver Lake. It was beautiful and a great way to escape the heat. We headed down the mountain and stopped by the water to have a picnic. It was a perfect afternoon and we can't wait to get back to do more hikes!

Nature calls...

Benjamin's Friend Birthday Party

We had a great day in the sun with our friends for Ben's birthday! We set up a splash pad, a pool and a few outdoor games to keep the kids occupied. We are so lucky to have such good friends and are going to be really sad to leave them all!

Everyone came in to play with Ben's toys after they were sick of the sun. We had quite a mess on our hands. But it was all worth it!

Happy 3rd Birthday to Our Baby Benjamin!

I can not believe that we are already celebrating Benjamin's 3rd birthday. I feel like it was just yesterday that this perfect little boy came into our lives. I feel grateful to be his mama every day and feel blessed to have such a miracle in our lives.
We had a great day celebrating with our family. Ben loved his gifts, but the one that really caught his attention was from Megan and Lou...a soccer goal! He loved it! We played all night.
Benjamin wanted a street sweeper cake... but a train cake was almost as good. He did tell me that he wanted it bigger and more train cars attached. I guess we can't always get it right!

Lou taught Ben all he needs to know about soccer!

Mike, Megan and Max
Aunt Lou, Papa and Frank-n- Beans...Ben's Great grandpa Frank (and no, grandpa Frank doesn't know that Ben call's him that)

Jimmer!

Yes, I am "that" girl. Brett and I were on our way to the College World Series in Omaha and Jimmer happened to be in the security line with us. Brett has a tiny crush on him so I told him to say something to him. He didn't, so I had to do the dirty work and ask Jimmer and Jackson for their picture. I mostly did it to make my sister Megan and her husband jealous! Both boys were very nice.

Best Buds and Dirt!

We were so lucky to have Sarah, Jeff, jack and Lauren in town for a few weeks. Ben loves Jack and couldn't get enough of his cousin. Please come back soon! We miss you all!

My parents had a ton of mulch delivered to the house to put in the flower beds. We tried to keep the boys off of it (we didn't know, and still don't know if it was safe)...With no luck. I think they played in the pile for hours and needed two baths after just to get the mud off. Their feet were stained for days.
