Outside

I couldn't keep Benjamin inside if I tried...which is exactly the way I want it.  I love that he wants to be outside at all times.

 The rain can't stop him!

Music at Perkins Rowe

Every Thursday night in the spring and fall there is live music at one of the shopping centers in Baton Rouge.  Occasionally we meet Brett for dinner, red mango and music on the grass.  Love these nice spring nights, but get super nervous about the heat to come!  We have to enjoy the outside while we can.

Preschool Easter Program- 2012

Ben had the cutest little Easter program at his Baptist school.  He actually sang this time and had a little part in one of the songs.  The boys all wore homemade bow ties.  They were to design them all by themselves...It was hilarious to see what everyone chose.  We love the traditions of the South.  Bow ties and bonnets:)
Peter, James and John on a Sailboat...

Easter 2012- Houston

We spent Easter weekend with my parents in Houston and had a great time.  We went with one of my college friends, Monique, and her kids to Herman park and rode the train, went on a paddle boat and played in the splash park.  We were lucky that everyone stayed in the boat...the water was pretty mucky and I would not have wanted to go in after a little one. EEK!!

Ben loved dialing (dying) easter eggs.
We also took a trip to the Houston Aquarium.  It is such a cool place to visit.  There are amusement park rides, cool exhibits and they have a train that goes through the shark tank. It is pretty freaky to see the sharks swimming all around you, but super cool!  Ben loved it.

Brett is explaining to Ben how the train engine works.  Ben is for sure going to be an engineer or be in some kind of career where he builds and creates.  This kid wants to know how everything works.

One of our favorite parts of the day.  In bed reading with Mimi.  We love Mimi!
